Philosophy

Our goal is to provide a safe and stimulating environment. We encourage children to explore and interact in their environment. We provide the foundation for successful achievement in learning by developing an excitement and enthusiasm for learning through self-confidence. Socialization skills, such as listening and being listened to, interacting with other children, treating others with respect, sharing, taking turns and expressing their feelings verbally are very important. Expressing our Catholic Faith through role modeling and daily activities will give introduction to a faith-based environment.

General Information

Our program is a “Family Oriented Program” designed to focus on the needs of the child by involving the family and staff at the Center, building a relationship that will enhance the child’s experience. We provide an environment in which your child will grow emotionally, cognitively, developmentally, and spiritually in a safe and loving environment.

Our staff is carefully selected for their educational training in Early Childhood Development and their ability to meet the individual needs of your child with sensitivity, responsibility and professionalism. We employ a staff of ten-fifteen professionals including the Director, Administrative Assistant and twelve Preschool/Infant teachers. The staff members have been employed from one to eighteen years with the Diocese of Sacramento.

The Preschool is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We accept children 6 weeks of age through age 5. The Center is open year round except for one week at Christmas and one week at the end of summer, mainly for cleaning and remodeling.

The preschool portion of our day is in operation from 8:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. The teachers present an age appropriate Literature-based curriculum, including daily stories that set the tone for math, science, language and art. The weekly curriculum also include daily Bible stories, Chapel visits, and prayer before meals. The students enjoy gymnastics on Mondays, outside play time, special guests, our annual Christmas Program, Fall Festival and the Pre-K Graduation (to name a few).

The Infant/Toddler program opened September 18, 2012. The classroom has been newly remodeled, completely furnished with age appropriate furniture, toys and equipment to serve this adorable age group. The teachers are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new students to love, nurture and guide developmentally through the first few formative years.

California Department of Social Services and the Community Care Licensing Division recently performed an annual Licensing Audit. We are proud to say that our Center passed a Full Audit, completed in March of 2015.

Catholic Preschool

The Prayer Garden was designed, developed and installed in the spring of 2012. Deacon Mark Blessed the Prayer Garden at our annual May Crowning. The children sang songs and participated in a prayerful rosary honoring Mary Our Blessed Mother. The children regularly visit Mary and her garden!

Keyless Entry

The Secured Front Gate and the Keyless Entry found at the front door, both offer comfort and security for our school families and staff! Upon enrollment an entry code for the front gate and the keyless entry system will be assigned to each family. There is a call box at the front gate and a doorbell system available for guests.
